Ycee
Oludemilade Martin Alejo, professionally known as Ycee (also stylized as YCee), is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter. He was born on January 29, 1993, in Festac Town, Lagos State, Nigeria.
Ycee began his music career in 2012 after signing with Tinny Entertainment. He gained nationwide recognition with the release of Condo featuring Patoranking, a breakthrough single that earned him several award nominations and established him as one of Nigeria’s emerging hip-hop acts.
His rise continued with the critically acclaimed single Jagaban, followed by the smash hit Juice featuring Maleek Berry. In 2017, he released his debut EP, First Wave, before unveiling his first studio album, Ycee vs Zaheer, in 2019. Known for blending Afropop, hip-hop, trap, and rap, Ycee has collaborated with numerous leading African artists throughout his career.
Following his departure from Tinny Entertainment, Ycee launched his independent imprint, ANBT (Ain’t Nobody Badder Than), under which he has continued to release music as an independent artist.
