Don Jazzy reacts to viral pregnancy rumour involving Ayra Starr’s mother

Mavin Records boss Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has reacted to a viral social media claim alleging that he and the mother of Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr are expecting a child.

The music executive responded on Wednesday after the claim gained traction on X, questioning the basis of the rumour in a sarcastic reply to the account that shared it.

“Let me first tag and beg your family members to talk sense to you now o,” Don Jazzy wrote.

The viral post alleged that Don Jazzy and Ayra Starr’s mother, Nene Aderibigbe, were preparing to welcome a child. It was accompanied by images and a video showing a man and a pregnant woman holding what appeared to be a scan, alongside footage from a celebration.

However, the authenticity of the materials, as well as the identities of the people featured in them, could not be independently verified.

The claim comes amid previous social media speculation linking Don Jazzy and Aderibigbe. Some of the earlier content circulated online had also faced questions over its authenticity, including suggestions from users that some images may have been AI-generated.

Don Jazzy has maintained a professional relationship with Ayra Starr and her family through his role as the founder of Mavin Records, which signed the singer early in her career.

The latest pregnancy claim has continued to generate reactions online, but there is no confirmed evidence supporting the allegation.
