Peter Okoye, known professionally as Mr P, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, dancer, and performer. He was born on November 18, 1981, in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, and hails from Ifite Dunu, Anambra State.
Mr P rose to prominence as one-half of the legendary duo P-Square, alongside his twin brother Paul Okoye (Rudeboy). The group dominated the African music scene for over a decade with chart-topping hits such as Do Me, No One Like You, Chop My Money, and Personally, becoming one of Africa’s most celebrated musical acts.
Following the group’s split in 2017, Mr P launched his solo career, debuting with the single Cool It Down. He went on to release songs like For My Head, One More Night, and Karma, showcasing his versatility as a singer and performer.
Renowned for his energetic stage presence, dance skills, and visual creativity, Mr P has continued to evolve as a solo artist while contributing to the enduring legacy of P-Square.
