Paul Nonso Okoye aka Rudeboy
Paul Nonso Okoye, known professionally as Rudeboy, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer. He was born on November 18, 1981, in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, and hails from Ifite Dunu, Anambra State.
Rudeboy first rose to fame as one-half of the iconic Nigerian music duo P-Square, alongside his twin brother Peter Okoye (Mr P). The duo became one of Africaβs most successful music acts in the 2000s and early 2010s, releasing hit albums such as Get Squared, Game Over, Danger, and Double Trouble, with global hits like Bizzy Body, Personally, and Alingo.
In 2017, P-Square disbanded following internal differences, leading Rudeboy to launch his solo career under the Rudeboy Records imprint. He debuted with the single Fire Fire, followed by successful tracks such as Reason With Me, Audio Money, and Woman, establishing himself as a consistent solo hitmaker.
Known for his soulful delivery and songwriting ability, Rudeboy blends Afropop with R&B influences, maintaining his relevance both as a solo artist and as part of the legacy of P-Square.
