Mohbad: Yomi Fabiyi Claims Assassination Attempt, Escapes Nigeria [VIDEO]

Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has fled Nigeria after narrowly escaping an alleged assassination attempt.

The actor explained his sudden departure following his absence at the Coroner’s court inquest into Mohbad’s death and his failure to lead a scheduled protest at the Lagos State Assembly on Monday, September 30, 2024.

According to Reporters, Fabiyi had planned the protest to coincide with the Coroner’s resumption of the investigation into Mohbad’s death.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Fabiyi revealed that his life had been threatened, claiming he narrowly escaped an assassination attempt two days prior.

He stated in the video, “I barely escaped an assassination two days ago, and they still have plans to kill me tonight. If they had succeeded, I would have been buried tomorrow. All because I’m fighting for justice in Mohbad’s case. I’ve not taken money from anyone; I’m doing this for God. I had to flee for my life, leaving Nigeria unexpectedly. As of now, I don’t even know where I’m headed.”
