MC Oluomo Denies Withholding Campaign Funds, Reaffirms Loyalty to President Tinubu

President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu ‘MC Oluomo’ Akinsanya, has denied allegations by some Nollywood actors that he withheld campaign funds meant for them during the 2023 presidential election.
According to a report by Premium Times on Friday, October 31, 2025, actors Fatai “Lalude” Adetayo, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, and Ganiu ‘Alapini’ Nafiu had accused MC Oluomo of failing to deliver ₦1.5 million allegedly intended for their campaign activities in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In an interview with broadcaster Kola Olootu, posted on YouTube on Thursday, MC Oluomo dismissed the claims as false, stating that he personally funded his campaign efforts for Tinubu.
“I spent my money to campaign for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu because, after my God and my mother, Tinubu is the only person who remains for me on earth and in heaven,” he said. “I have been following him since 1990, and I have never fumbled. He made me who I am today—my children and I feed because of him.”
MC Oluomo emphasized that his loyalty to Tinubu predates the 2023 campaign and is based on personal conviction rather than financial benefit. He added that his commitment to the President would continue unless Tinubu himself chose to leave politics.
The NURTW leader’s comments were intended to clarify his position and reject allegations of misconduct in connection with the campaign.
