Controversy Erupts Over Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy’ Tour as Promoter Makes Serious Allegations

Asake’s Lungu Boy World Tour has become the center of a storm of controversy following allegations from Tunde Babalola, a former associate of the Nigerian Afrobeats star. Babalola, who claims to have been pivotal in organizing the European leg of the tour, accused Asake of being a “pathological liar” and a “user.”
Taking to social media, Babalola stated, “Shoutout to me for single-handedly making sure the European leg of this tour was completed against all odds. Keyword: single-handedly. ME!” He also suggested that without his efforts, Asake’s partnership with major entities like Live Nation and Creative Artists Agency would not have been possible.
Babalola’s allegations have sparked a lively debate online, with fans and industry insiders discussing the complexities behind organizing large-scale tours. Despite the growing controversy, Asake and his management have yet to release an official statement regarding the claims.
As the tour continues to promote Asake’s third studio album, Lungu Boy, which features collaborations with high-profile artists such as Wizkid, Travis Scott, and Stormzy, fans are left questioning the behind-the-scenes dynamics of the tour.
