Ugochi Lydia Onuoha, professionally known as Guchi, is a Nigerian Afropop singer-songwriter born on 5 November 1997 in Kaduna, Nigeria. She grew up in Abuja, started singing in her church choir from the age of seven, and studied Theatre and Media Arts at the University of Lagos. She began her professional music career in 2012 and released her debut single, No Be Jazzy, in April 2019. Guchi’s breakout hits include “Addicted” (2019), the TikTok-viral single “Jennifer” (2021) and its remix featuring Rayvanny, “Benzema” (2021) which debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Triller Global Chart, and “Shattered” (2022). In January 2020, she was named a two-year ambassador for Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
