Police Investigate Personal Assistant’s Alleged Role in Adelabu Family Kidnap Case

The Oyo State Police Command has alleged that a personal assistant attached to a member of the family of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, collaborated with kidnappers involved in the abduction of Adelabu’s sister and her two children in Ibadan.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Olayinka Ayanlade, preliminary investigations suggest that the operation may have involved insider assistance from someone close to the family.
The suspect is alleged to have provided support to the kidnappers during the incident, which resulted in the victims’ abduction in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Police authorities stated that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend all individuals connected to the crime.
The Command also assured residents that security agencies are intensifying efforts to dismantle the kidnapping network and bring all those responsible to justice.
