The Senator from Abia State who is a PDP member, Enyinnaya Abaribe has “confessed” that he was lucky to survive the Obi/Datti wave in Southeast by winning his senatorial seat.

Speaking with newsmen, Abaribe said the wave of Peter Obi almost consumed politicians from South-East extraction, and this could mean that they never thought he would be able to get the massive support of the South-East people, judging from the fact that he joined a less-popular political party few months to the election.

In his words, he ssid:

“It was a nice election, it was going normally until we saw the Obi/Datti wave in the South-East and it almost consumed everybody. It showed me the love my people have for me because I was able to survive that wave, otherwise I wouldn’t have been hear today.”
