Simi – What motherhood has taught me

Music star, Simisola Kosoko aka Simi has said that motherhood has changed her personality more than marriage.

She said this during an interview with a newspaper, explaining that for marriage nothing has changed with her.

“Nothing really. I feel motherhood has changed me more than marriage has because in marriage, it is still the two of us and it is pretty much the same. It is just a change of address.”

Simi gave birth to her first and only child, Adejare, in 2020. She said motherhood has taught her to go a lot easier on herself.

“It has taught me to prioritise and go easy on myself because it is a lot (of work). You have to enjoy the moment that you have, whether in your work or with your child.”

Simi said if she had the chance to change something about herself, she would like to be more proactive about things she wants outside music and actually push it consistently and be more patient.
