OdumoduBlvck Claims He Dethroned Olamide as Nigeria’s Top Rapper
OdumoduBlvck recently sparked controversy in the Nigerian music industry during an interview on the Afrobeat podcast, hosted by Adesope. The rapper, known for his hit track Wotowoto, claimed that four years ago, Olamide was regarded as the top rapper in Nigeria, but his arrival changed the game, positioning himself as a leading figure in the rap scene.
He emphasized the importance of credibility in the music industry, stating that anyone claiming to be the best rapper should have proof, like a solid album. OdumoduBlvck also shared his connection with Speed Darlington, calling him his “spirit animal,” although they are not friends. Additionally, he recounted a humorous encounter with Burna Boy, recalling a dream in which they shared pounded yam together and later told Burna Boy about it.
Reactions from netizens were mixed, with some supporting his confidence, while others defended Olamide’s status as the top rapper.
