Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan ‘Ogogo’ laid to rest in Ogun state (Watch Video)

Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, was laid to rest on Monday in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State.
The actor was buried according to Islamic rites, a day after news of his death was confirmed. A video from the burial showed mourners gathered as his remains were moved for interment and Islamic prayers were offered.
Veteran actors including Yinka Quadri, Jide Kosoko, Femi Adebayo, Ireti Osayemi, Faithia Balogun, Mr Latin and Toyosi Adesanya were among family members, colleagues and sympathisers present at the burial.
Ogogo’s burial arrangements were earlier announced by Jide Kosoko, who said the actor’s remains would be taken to Ilaro for a lying-in-state and final burial.
The actor died days after his daughters, Kira and Lima Taiwo, had appealed for medical assistance, stating that their father had been receiving treatment for stage-four cancer.
Taiwo Hassan was a prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry, with a career spanning several decades.
