Lady Makes New Allegation Against Egungun, Claims He Invited Her to a Hotel Following Tape Leak”

A social media controversy has erupted following the leak of a tape involving the Egungun of Lagos, with a woman named @theboujeegirlie on X sharing a concerning experience with him.

The woman alleged that in 2020, Egungun invited her to a hotel in Surulere, claiming he would introduce her to Nigerian artist Zlatan. According to her, they had met during their time at the University of Lagos after a viral video, and she was pursuing a music career at the time. She believed Egungun’s promise, as Zlatan had recently supported Egungun’s music, and she hoped this connection could help her career.

However, she expressed doubts about his intentions, particularly since he asked her to meet at a hotel, which raised red flags for her. She wrote: “Egungun of Lagos wey tell me make I come hotel for Surulere say he wan introduce me to Zlatan??? God will punish that boy sehh 😂😂😂😂.”

She further explained that they had become acquaintances after their viral video together and that Egungun wanted to introduce her to Zlatan at a hotel. Despite the discomfort, she ended the discussion by saying, “Let’s just let bygones be bygones. 2020 is a long time ago.”

In response to her post, some social media users, including @Kelvdunski, downplayed the situation, suggesting there was nothing wrong with a hotel meeting. However, the woman clarified that it was not just a public meeting but a private room, further raising her suspicions.
