Get married in your 30s – Falz advises youths

Nigerian rapper Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has advised young people not to feel pressured to marry before the age of 30.

Speaking on an episode of The BTS Reality podcast, Falz said people may still be developing emotionally, financially and mentally during their 20s. He described the period as a time for learning, personal growth and gaining life experience.

“Getting married in your 30s is the best. Don’t let anyone pressure you into getting married before 30. By 30s, you have gained more life experiences,” Falz said.

He added that young people are often still trying to understand themselves in their 20s and encouraged them to prioritise personal development rather than responding to societal pressure to marry.

“In your 20s, you are still figuring yourself out. Your 20s are for learning, growing, and enjoying life. In your 30s, you combine all the knowledge and try to direct your life. So, it is better to wait till your 30s before getting married,” he stated.
