Fuji Legends K1 and Kollington Reunite at Pasuma’s 40th Stage Anniversary Concert in Lagos (PHOTOS)
Pasuma’s 40th anniversary concert, held on Tuesday at the Sheraton Balmoral Hall in Ikeja, Lagos, was a night to remember, celebrating four decades of his remarkable career in Fuji music.
The event was marked by the historic reunion of Fuji icons Kollington Ayinla and Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 De Ultimate), whose rivalry over supremacy in the genre has been a longstanding topic of public interest. The two legends were seen chatting, laughing, and posing for photographs, signaling a rare moment of unity that delighted fans and media alike.
Hosted by Alariwo of Africa, the concert also showcased the rekindled friendship between Pasuma and Saheed Osupa. The pair, who recently resolved their feud, shared the stage and embraced, much to the admiration of the audience. Osupa, Pasuma, and Malaika later thrilled fans with a spirited Fuji singing marathon, elevating the night to historic heights.
Goodwill messages poured in during the event. Kollington Ayinla praised Pasuma, saying, “Forty years on stage is no small feat. You shall continue to rise and achieve greatness.” K1 De Ultimate echoed these sentiments, wishing Pasuma longevity and greater success.
The night ended on a high note as Pasuma honored long-serving band members, rewarding those who had been with him for over 30 years with N10 million each.
Pasuma, who began his Fuji journey after his football dreams were cut short in 1985, has since become a household name. Inspired by K1 De Ultimate, he released his debut album Recognition in 1993 and has since produced over 30 albums, cementing his legacy as a Fuji maestro.
