Hadiza Blell-Olo, known professionally as Di’Ja, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and visual artist. She was born on August 14, 1984 to a Sierra Leonean father and a Nigerian mother, and she grew up in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, the United States, and Canada.
Di’Ja began her career in Canada, where she won the Best New Artist award at the 2008 Beat Music Awards. Her music blends R&B, pop, reggae, and Afrobeat, reflecting her multicultural background.
In 2014, Di’Ja signed with Mavin Records under Don Jazzy, becoming part of the label’s “Mavin 2.0” generation alongside Korede Bello and Reekado Banks. She gained mainstream recognition with her debut single under Mavin, Yaro, and further with her feature on the label’s all-star hit Dorobucci.
Known for her sweet vocals and versatility, Di’Ja has released popular singles such as Aww, Take Kiss, and Sowemo. Beyond music, she is also known for her advocacy on women’s rights, education, and child welfare.
