Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon aka Reekado Banks
Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, professionally known as Reekado Banks, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer born on December 6, 1993, in Lagos State, Nigeria. He graduated from the University of Lagos with a degree in History and Strategic Studies.
Reekado Banks rose to fame after signing with Mavin Records in 2014, where he was introduced as part of the Mavin 2.0 generation. His debut single under the label, Turn It Up featuring Tiwa Savage, gained instant recognition. He followed up with multiple hit tracks including Katapot, Easy (Jeje), Like, and the chart-topping Oluwa Ni.
In 2016, he released his debut studio album Spotlight, which debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard World Albums chart. Reekado left Mavin Records in 2018 and established his own imprint, Banks Music.
He is celebrated for his versatility, blending Afrobeat, R&B, and pop with rich vocals and emotive delivery.
