UEL Final: Andre Onana’s Track Record in European Finals Ahead of Tottenham Clash

Manchester United are set to face Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Europa League final at San Mames Stadium in Spain.

Erik ten Hag’s men secured their place in the final after a dominant display against Athletic Bilbao. United took control with a 3-0 away win in Spain and followed up with a commanding 4-1 victory at Old Trafford.

Tottenham Hotspur earned their spot in the final after defeating Norwegian side Bodø Glimt in the semi-finals.

As the final approaches, attention has turned to United’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana, who has a history in European finals—but not one he’ll be proud of. The Cameroonian has featured in three European finals during his career but has yet to win any of them.
At 27, Onana will be hoping to break that streak. However, his recent performances have come under scrutiny, including a costly mistake that led to Lyon’s second goal during the quarter-final first leg at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
The update was shared by renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano on his official Facebook page, highlighting Onana’s poor record in European finals as a subplot heading into the showdown with Spurs.
