REPORT: Victor Osimhen in Talks with Liverpool
Liverpool have reportedly entered the race to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, according to TBR Football. The Reds are now competing with Manchester United, who are also showing strong interest in the 26-year-old forward.
The Sun describes Osimhen as “one of the top strikers in world football.” He proved his quality during a recent loan spell at Galatasaray, where he delivered an impressive tally of 37 goals in just 41 matches.
Both Premier League giants are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season, and Osimhen appears to be a strong candidate. Known for his blistering pace, physical presence, and clinical finishing, he would bring significant attacking threat to either squad. Still, it remains uncertain which club will make the first official move.
The striker has reportedly turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, making it clear that he wants to continue competing at the highest level in Europe. Napoli, his parent club, are open to letting him go permanently this summer. Osimhen’s contract includes a release clause set at £63 million.
Now, the big question is whether Liverpool or Manchester United will meet that asking price to land one of the most in-demand strikers in world football.
