Report: Napoli Plans to Facilitate Victor Osimhen’s Transfer to AC Milan Next Summer
The 25-year-old striker recently joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli after falling out of favor with the club due to his desire to leave. Previously, he was linked with major clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Arsenal, as well as interest from the Saudi Pro League.A key hurdle in any potential transfer was Osimhen’s €130 million release clause, which was too high for many European clubs to consider.
His move to Galatasaray opened new opportunities for the player. Napoli extended his contract until the summer of 2027 and reduced the release clause to €75 million for clubs outside Italy, just before he joined Okan Buruk’s team on loan.Osimhen has continued to score consistently in Turkey, attracting interest from several clubs, including AC Milan.
According to Pianeta Milan, the Rossoneri were interested in him before he moved to Galatasaray, but his salary was too high, leading them to pursue Tammy Abraham instead. Now, they are planning a summer bid for Osimhen and may offer Portuguese winger Rafael Leão as part of a swap deal. With Napoli’s asking price still significantly high for clubs outside of Italy, Milan hopes to leverage this situation and pursue Osimhen once Abraham’s loan ends, potentially fostering a stronger relationship between the two Serie A clubs.
However, Milan will face tough competition, as both Galatasaray and Chelsea remain keen on Osimhen, who has aspirations of playing in the English Premier League.
