Bukayo Saka Poised to Become Arsenal’s Highest-Paid Player
Arsenal are on the verge of finalizing a lucrative new contract for Bukayo Saka that would make him the highest-earning player in the club’s history.
According to TBR Football, talks are progressing smoothly under the guidance of Arsenal’s new sporting director, Andrea Berta. The club is reportedly ready to offer the 23-year-old winger a deal worth £300,000 per week—surpassing Mesut Ozil’s previous record salary of £350,000 per week including bonuses, set in 2018.
Saka, whose current deal signed in 2023 nets him £195,000 weekly and runs until 2027, is being lined up for an extended stay at the Emirates. Arsenal are keen to secure his long-term future amid growing interest from other top clubs ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Showing his commitment to the team, Saka previously said, “I want to win wearing this badge,” reinforcing his emotional connection with both the club and its supporters. Manager Mikel Arteta has also praised Saka’s loyalty and professionalism, saying there’s no rush in negotiations because both parties are aligned on continuing the relationship.
On the pitch, Saka continues to shine, with seven goals and eight assists in 16 games against newly promoted teams this season. He recently returned from injury with a goal against Fulham and is expected to be fit for the crucial Champions League semi-final against PSG after picking up a light ankle knock during Arsenal’s win over Ipswich.
Despite reported interest from Real Madrid, all signs suggest that Saka remains committed to the Gunners’ project. Securing his future is likely to be Arsenal’s biggest off-field move this summer.
