Tinubu Threatens to Sack Wike Over FCT Elections [Video]

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has warned the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, that he could lose his job if the upcoming FCT elections favor his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), too much.

Speaking at a dinner held on Saturday evening to celebrate Eid-Al-Fitr, Tinubu made it clear that he expects the All Progressives Congress (APC) to win in the FCT.

In his words:
“Give me any opportunity for my party to win elections in FCT. I know where you are coming from, your own party.

“If this thing goes too much in your own favor, you will lose your job.”

The remark has sparked reactions, with many interpreting it as a lighthearted joke while others see it as a strong message about party loyalty.
