Nyesom Wike Suspends FCDA Secretary Indefinitely

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has announced the indefinite suspension of Hadi Ahmad, the Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Agency (FCDA). The suspension was officially communicated through a statement from Olalere Olayinka, Wike’s Senior Special Adviser for Public Communication and Social Media, on Thursday.
The suspension has sparked curiosity, as no specific reasons for the decision have been provided. As part of the directive, Ahmad has been instructed to hand over his duties to the Director of Engineering Services at the FCDA to ensure the agency’s operations continue smoothly while the issue is being addressed.
The FCDA, which is pivotal in urban development and infrastructure planning in the Federal Capital Territory, is now at the center of attention due to the suspension of its Executive Secretary. Although the reasons behind the suspension remain undisclosed, some observers suggest that it could be linked to internal challenges within the agency or part of a wider review of FCDA operations by the government.
