Nyesom Wike: “Look At Me Very Well—Do I Look 18? 19? 20 Years Old? I’m Still Competing With My Son”
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has shut down ongoing rumors about his health, asserting that he remains very much alive, healthy, and active. Speaking during a public event captured in a YouTube video, Wike addressed the speculations head-on, criticizing those who continue to spread false information about him.
Wike emphasized that despite the heavy demands of his role, he is in excellent physical condition, even playfully noting that he still competes with his son in various activities. Expressing disbelief at the extent of misinformation being circulated, he pointed out that even if he had been unwell, it would be perfectly normal, given the pressures of his job. He added that surviving any illness would only highlight the grace of God in his life.
In his words, “I’ll write the condolence message to your family. Look at me very well—do I look 18? 19? 20 years old? I’m still competing with my son. I’m not dead. I was never sick. But even if I was sick, am I not human? And with the kind of work I’m doing—if I was sick and survived—it’s by the grace of God.”
