Makinde’s Aide, Dare Adeleke, Accuses Wike of Working Against PDP

Dare Adeleke, a political adviser to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of undermining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while claiming to be a member.

According to a report by The PUNCH on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Adeleke criticized Wike for what he described as divisive behavior within the party. He said Wike’s recent comments on television, where he denied having close ties with Governor Makinde, were misleading and inconsistent with his actions.

“I watched him yesterday say he is a member of the PDP. Wike is compounding problems for the PDP and for the government he claims to serve. He boasts about being in the PDP, yet he works against the party. He is a fake PDP member,” Adeleke stated.

He further alleged that Wike’s activities have weakened the PDP, accusing him of betraying the party for political convenience and using thugs to intimidate its members.

Adeleke’s remarks underscore ongoing internal tensions within the PDP, as key figures continue to clash over loyalty and direction ahead of future political contests.
