Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara recently addressed a large crowd to celebrate his administration’s achievements over the past year. During the event, he expressed gratitude to God for the progress made despite various challenges.
In a video shared by SYMFONI TV, Fubara noted that many doubted his government, predicting it wouldn’t last more than a week and even trying to undermine his efforts. Yet, a year later, he and his team not only survived but also achieved significant successes.Governor Fubara also took the opportunity to counter negative rumors circulating on social media amid the state’s political climate.
He urged the audience to disregard misinformation and instead focus on the positive developments happening in Rivers State. He assured them that all government employees had received their salaries and informed Local Government Chairmen that their funds would soon be deposited into their accounts. He stressed the importance of this support, asserting that his administration would consistently rise above criticism.”We are not here to celebrate failure,” he stated.
“We are here to thank God for elevating us.” Governor Fubara’s message was one of hope and reassurance, committing to ongoing support for the residents of Rivers State and promising continued growth in the coming year.
