Governor Bala Mohammed Praises Fubara as a Model Leader Among Nigerian Governors
Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State recently discussed the political climate in Rivers State during a live broadcast on Symphoni .
He praised Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his effective leadership and ability to sustain governance despite facing substantial challenges. Governor Bala specifically acknowledged Fubara’s handling of the recent local government elections, noting that although his party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), did not participate, Fubara allowed opposition parties to secure victories, demonstrating his dedication to fairness and democratic principles.
Governor Bala further lauded Fubara’s leadership skills, stating that he has quickly become a notable figure in Nigeria’s political scene, especially at the state level. He stressed the need to respect the authority and independence of state governors.
In Bala’s words, “Fubara has solidified his position as a leader and stands as a source of pride for all Nigerian governors at the state level.
A governor holds significant power and can bring about unexpected developments.”He also emphasized the crucial role governors play in managing the country, often having more direct influence on the daily lives of Nigerians than the federal government. He pointed out that the federal government is essentially reliant on the states, as citizens live under the governance of state and local authorities.
Bala concluded, “Governors at the state level are the true drivers of governance in Nigeria; even the federal government relies on them. People live in the states and local governments, which is why I consider Fubara’s actions to be proactive and innovative.”
