Festus Keyamo Rebuke Misinformation about Tinubu’s Inauguration
Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, has responded to a comment made by Sam Amadi, the Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts. Amadi stated that the inauguration of Bola Tinubu, who is the President-elect, may not happen before May 29th.
In a tweet, Amadi reiterated that he has a significant case in the tribunal which could have an unpredictable outcome. He explained that Tinubu’s formation of the next government is not guaranteed or automatic.
Keyamo responded by stating that certain unprincipled individuals are exploiting vulnerable people. He referred to a supposed “learned fellow” who is assuring people that the inauguration of Bola Tinubu can be legally stopped before May 29th, as well as a story about foreign lawyers being brought in for this purpose. Keyamo further noted that he has seen many enthusiastic reactions from these vulnerable people who he calls “nitwits.”
Keyamo shared his disappointment in a tweet, saying he shook his head and whispered to himself that illiteracy is indeed a disease. He expressed sadness that certain dishonest individuals are exploiting these vulnerable people.
