Yakasai Visits Tinubu After Family Urges Him to Congratulate New President
Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, head of the northern Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), reportedly paid a courtesy call on the incoming president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the presidential palace of Aso Rock today.
Once Muhammadu Buhari’s time as president ended on May 29, 2023, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, was sworn in.
When asked about President Tinubu’s visit to his home, Tanko Yakasai remarked, “Some of you are aware that before Asiwaju declared his ambition to be the President of Nigeria, he visited my house and informed me of his intention.”
I hoped for the best in his heart. My family has been encouraging me to give Asiwaju another visit because he has finally accomplished his goal.
To be honest, I couldn’t invite everyone to congratulate Asiwaju on becoming president, so I just picked a select handful.
He went on to say, “we are looking, we are yearning for God to bring somebody like Asiwaju to the presidency of Nigeria.”
As the man who took over political power in Nigeria after Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Asiwaju was the last surviving founding father of modern Nigeria.
Just as I believe that only political action can bring about change in Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, and the Soviet Union, so too do I believe that this is true in this country.
