Tinubu: APC support group kicks against call for interim government, says Tinubu will likely be sworn in
The 2023 presidential election carried out on February 25, which produced Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s President-elect has continued to generate mixed emotions among supporters of the three main events in the nation.
Recall that they’ve been calls from the supporters of the Labour Party for Tinubu to not be sworn in, and also the Department of State Service (DSS) confirmed of the plot by actors in the political system of Nigeria to put in an interim government.
This had triggered some of the supporters of the All Progressives Congress to protest in Abeokuta, Ogun State on Thursday.
The supporters under the aegis of Amalgamated APC Support Group, led by the South-West Chairman, Ganiu Akeem Adesina demanded for the swearing in of Bola Tinubu come May 29, 2023.
They also described the call for the cancellation of the presidential election as a violation of the Nigerian constitution.
Adesina said, “Some people are calling for an interim government and we supporters of Tinubu since 2019 are saying Tinubu must be sworn-in. These people are calling for the cancellation of the election which is against the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
