Scholar slumps, dies after collecting matriculation robe in Ilorin

An 100-level scholar of Kwara College of Education, Ilorin, has slumped after collecting her matriculation robe on Wednesday preparatory to her matriculation which was held yesterday (Thursday)

The scholar died on Wednesday whereas receiving lectures forward of her first semester examination when she breathed her final, the faculty’s spokesperson, Mrs Abibat Zubair mentioned whereas confirming the incident.

In keeping with Zubair, although the coed was instantly rushed to the Basic Hospital in Ilorin, was pronounced useless on arrival.

Zubair mentioned the woman was mourned throughout the matriculation on Thursday.

She added that the varsity’s administration already paid a condolence go to to the household of the deceased.

The scholar has since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
