Nigerians don’t want an unidentifiable flying object as a president – Reuben Abati
Dr. Reuben Abati, a host of the Arise Television Morning Show, has said Nigerians do not want “an unidentifiable flying object” as a president.
His comments follow the statement issued by Tinubu on the Adamawa polls. The president-elect called on the police to probe thoroughly the incident that unfolded during the election, where Hudu Yunusa-Ari, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) declared Aisha Binani winner of the election.
However, the electoral commission called the declaration null and void and later declared Ahmadu Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party winner and governor-elect of Adamawa state.
In his submission Reuben Abati spoke about the absence of the president-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was reported to have travelled to France to rest after the just concluded general election in March, 2023.
According to Abati, Nigerians want to see him and that do not want an unidentifiable object as a president-elect although his absence may seem as he not wanting to interfere with the running of the country until he is being sworn-in as president on May 29.
He said; “People are saying that they want to see him, they dont want their president to be an unidentifiable flying object, an object that is missing in action.”
