Nigerian Army Captures Two Notorious Kidnap Kingpins, Seizes Large Ammunition Stockpile (Photos)

On December 10, 2024, Nigerian Army troops from 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN, led by Lt Gen OO Oluyede, carried out a successful raid in the Rafiki General Area of Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State. The operation targeted criminal hideouts, resulting in the arrest of two notorious kidnap kingpins and the discovery of a large ammunition cache.
Among the findings was a 4-liter bottle of motor oil containing 439 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition. The arrested individuals were linked to ammunition smuggling operations in Plateau, Kaduna, and Zamfara, providing vital intelligence to aid further police efforts.

The Nigerian Army emphasized its commitment to ensuring the safety of local residents and vowed to continue follow-up operations to capture additional criminals and seize more weapons. The army encouraged the public to report any suspicious activities to assist in maintaining security.
