Hilda Dokubo Questions Claims That Fubara Broke Agreement with Wike
Nigerian politician Hilda Dokubo has voiced her concerns over the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, questioning the widely circulated claim that Governor Siminalayi Fubara failed to uphold an agreement with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
Her statement follows President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State, which led to the suspension of Governor Fubara and the appointment of Rtd Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas as the state’s Sole Administrator.
Taking to her official X account, Dokubo noted that she has repeatedly heard people say Fubara did not honor his part of the deal with Wike. However, she asked for clarification on what exactly the agreement entailed and how it would have affected the people of Rivers State.
She wrote:
“I keep hearing people say agreement is agreement! Siminalayi Fubara did not keep his side of the agreement with Nyesom Wike. Please, what is the agreement and how would it have impacted the state and the people.”
Her statement has sparked further debate as many continue to seek clarity on the nature of the alleged agreement and its implications for the political stability of Rivers State.
