Breaking: President Tinubu Unveils 2025 Armed Forces Emblem Appeal Fund [VIDEO]
President Bola Tinubu has officially launched the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem and Appeal Fund at a ceremony in the State House. During the event, he commended the Armed Forces for their dedication to safeguarding Nigeria and highlighted their critical role in combating threats to national security.
Tinubu emphasized that security is the foundation for peace and development, expressing deep appreciation for the Armed Forces’ commitment to the country’s unity, stability, and progress.
To honor the sacrifices of fallen heroes, key government officials made significant contributions. Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, pledged N500 million on behalf of government officials, while Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced a donation of N200 million on behalf of the National Assembly.
Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, also pledged N50 million on behalf of the service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
