Adamu Atiku Abubakar, the Commissioner for Works in Adamawa State and son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, recently visited the ongoing construction of the 7-span flyover at A.A. Lawan Junction in Yola. This flyover is part of the larger 20.8 km Adamawa Super Highway project, which aims to promote infrastructural and economic growth in the state.
During the inspection, Adamu was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of Works, Engr. Muhammed Suleiman, and the Director of the Civil Engineering Department, Engr. Geoffrey P. Dariya. He commended their dedication and expertise, noting their significant role in advancing the project.

Adamu expressed his satisfaction with the construction’s quality and progress, calling it a major milestone for the state. The flyover, once completed, is expected to alleviate traffic congestion, enhance connectivity, and become an essential part of Adamawa’s growing transportation network.

He also highlighted that the project is a testament to the visionary leadership of Governor Umar Fintiri and the Fresh Air administration, which is committed to improving the lives of citizens.
When finished, the Adamawa Super Highway and the flyover are anticipated to bring long-term socio-economic benefits, fostering infrastructure development, trade, and growth across the region.
