Asari Dokubo Criticizes Tinubu for Failure to Appoint Northerners to Key Positions
Asari Dokubo, a well-known Ijaw and Niger Delta activist, went live on his Facebook page to address problems in the nation.
He declined the chance to comment on the nominations announced by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the new president.
He informed Tinubu that despite the North West and North East voting for him, he had not appointed them to any positions in his cabinet.
Asari Dokubo remarked in the video: “Godswill Akpabio even lost his state to the opposition in the election. Tinubu lost in Lagos, and the Senate President lost in his state. This is just God’s way of letting Tinubu know that the common people in the North East, North West, and South-South pioneered his victory.
His votes came from these areas, but so far, Tinubu has not taken them into account while making appointments.
“I want to send the President a message. “Tinubu, the North West and North East voted for you, but you have not appointed them.” The triumph you are celebrating today was provided by them.
That area provided the majority of his votes. Although I don’t have any animosity toward Tinubu, I think every zone needs to be represented.
