Abuja: Several Feared Dead in Building Collapse

Around 40 people were reportedly trapped beneath the rubble of a collapsed multi-story building in Sabon Lugbe, a suburban area of Abuja.Reports indicate that the building collapse happened around 5 p.m. on Saturday, with occupants still inside at the time.Videos circulating on social media, particularly on X, show local residents trying to rescue those trapped under the debris.

At the time of this report, it was unclear if emergency responders had arrived at the scene to assist with the rescue.Attempts to reach Nkechi Isa, the Head of Public Affairs for the FCT Emergency Management Department, were unsuccessful.
