16-Year-Old Girl Arrested in Connection with Deaths of Five Individuals in Edo

Edo Police Arrest 16-Year-Old in Connection with Five Deaths**The Edo State Police have detained a 16-year-old girl named Aisha Suleiman in relation to the deaths of five individuals. This incident occurred in the Afashio community of Uzairue, Etsako West Local Government Area, on October 26, when 19-year-old Emmanuel Elogie and four friends, including a female, were discovered dead in their home.

According to police spokesperson Moses Yamu, Elogie Ezekiel from Afashio reported to the Jattu police division that his son and his son’s friends, including his girlfriend Ada Samule, were found lifeless in their apartment on October 26. They were taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Yamu stated that on October 29, authorities learned that Aisha Suleiman was allegedly responsible for the deaths by poisoning the victims with food. Community youths attempted to harm her, but police intervened and took her into custody.

The case has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further examination.The Commissioner of Police, Umoru Peter Ozigi, has instructed investigators to thoroughly determine the cause of death for the young victims.
