“Praying 5 Times Daily Was Stressful” – Actress Habibat Jinad Opens Up on Leaving Islam and Her Life-Changing Dream
Popular Yoruba actress Habibat Jinad has opened up about her religious journey and the challenges that led her to explore Christianity despite being born a Muslim.
In an interview on Wasilacoded TV, Jinad revealed that she initially left Islam because she found praying five times a day to be stressful. However, her perspective changed after a profound spiritual experience involving her late grandmother.
“I abandoned Islam initially because I thought praying five times daily was very stressful for me, and I decided to practice Christianity,” she said.
She recounted that before her grandmother passed away, she had instructed the family to give her a rosary. Though Jinad attended church for a while, she later had a dream in which her grandmother appeared and handed her the rosary, a moment she described as life-changing.

Jinad emphasized that she has come to understand that being close to God is not solely about attending a church or mosque but about having a deep spiritual connection.
