Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, the traditional ruler of Iwo, has spoken out following his attendance at the coronation of the new Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, on Saturday.

He acknowledged the significance of the occasion, marking the official presentation of Oba Abimbola Owoade to the world, which was facilitated by the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

Oba Akanbi offered his well wishes to the new Alaafin, urging him to dedicate his reign to the “King of kings” and to seek divine wisdom from Olodumare to govern wisely. He prayed for a peaceful reign for the new monarch, stating, “May his reign be peaceful.”
