Nigerian Woman Shares Her Healing Journey After Her Fiancé’s Pastors Claimed She Wasn’t Meant for Him
Ada Seraphina Okoro recently shared her story on July 17, 2024, recounting the painful end of her relationship after her fiancé’s pastors claimed she wasn’t the right person for him. She explained that the pastors’ ‘prophecy’ came after one of them invited her to meet in Nekede, which she declined. According to Ada, the pastors had been involved in her fiancé’s life during a period of financial struggle, and their intervention ultimately led to the breakup.
Despite the heartache, Ada emphasized that she has forgiven and healed, moving forward with her life. She shared that the breakup initially left her with feelings of regret and fear but eventually found solace with the support of her late grandmother and a neighbor. The neighbor, a married man living abroad, offered her daily emotional support, reminding her that she was too good for her ex.
Ada also revealed that her ex fiancé later sought her forgiveness before leaving the country, and she did forgive him. She reflected on the importance of letting go of negative emotions and learning from past experiences. In her journey to healing, she sought guidance from a pastor who encouraged her to release anger and regret, which helped her gain peace.
Through this experience, Ada learned valuable lessons about self-worth, the importance of making choices that benefit oneself in relationships, and the need for emotional freedom. She concluded by stating that while she is open to marriage if the right person comes along, she is equally focused on her financial independence and personal happiness.
