Nedu Clears the Air on Podcast Exit: “I Stepped Away So the Show Could Go On”

Popular Nigerian media personality, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, widely known as Nedu, has addressed speculations surrounding his departure from The Honest Bunch podcast.
His exit followed backlash from a recent episode featuring reality star Deeone, who alleged that social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) was attracted to men. In response, VDM accused Nedu of orchestrating the claim and persistently inviting him to the podcast since 2024, even allegedly offering to buy him a car as an incentive.
Nedu’s departure sparked rumors that he was fired from the show, but he has now denied these claims.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos, Nedu clarified:
“Let me clarify that I wasn’t fired from The Honest Bunch Podcast. I decided to step away when the attacks became personal. So that the show can go on.”
His statement puts to rest speculations surrounding his decision, emphasizing that it was a personal choice rather than an enforced removal.
