“I Was Very Stubborn In My Previous Marriage, But My Present Husband Said I Must Be Submissive” – Toyin Abraham

Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has opened up about the lessons she learned from her first marriage and how they’ve shaped her current relationship with husband Kolawole Ajeyemi.

Speaking in an interview posted on The Announcer TV YouTube channel, the actress candidly admitted that her stubbornness played a role in the failure of her previous marriage to fellow actor Adeniyi Johnson. Reflecting on her past, she explained that she’s grown significantly since then and now approaches marriage with a more mature mindset.

“I was very stubborn in my previous marriage, but my present husband said I must be submissive,” Toyin revealed. She added that she agreed to his request, acknowledging the importance of humility and understanding in maintaining a successful relationship.

“I responded to my husband by telling him that I will be submissive to him because I have learnt some lessons from my previous marriage. I’m more mature as a woman now because there are some things that I can’t do anymore,” she said.

Toyin also spoke about her temper in the past, stating, “In my previous marriage, I got angry easily at every little thing, but now I’m so mature because I and my present husband have two kids together now.”
