Funke Akindele’s Everybody Loves Jenifa has become the highest-grossing film of all time in West Africa, earning ₦1.6 billion within a month of its release. The movie’s distributor, Filmone, announced the milestone on Instagram, thanking fans for their support.
Funke Akindele also expressed her gratitude, saying, “Na God do am,” and thanked her fans for their love. The film premiered on December 13, 2024.
“A billy gang, we’re up! Everybody Loves Jenifa has grossed over ₦1.6 billion at the box office! We can’t thank you enough for showing this movie all your love!” the company wrote.
Joining in the celebration, Akindele expressed her gratitude to fans on her Instagram page, @funkejenifaakindele.
“Na God do am. I am so grateful to you all. I no know wetin I go write again,” she wrote.
