“Don’t Collect Money From Pastors; It Reduces Your Blessings” – Pastor David Ibiyeomie

Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries has cautioned his congregation against collecting money from senior pastors, claiming it diminishes their blessings and hinders financial prosperity.
Speaking during a recent sermon, Ibiyeomie emphasized that the practice is not supported by scripture and advised members to focus on giving rather than receiving from spiritual leaders.
He shared from personal experience, stating:
“May I tell you one raw truth? It may be hard, but never collect money from a senior man of God. You are reducing your blessing.”
The pastor highlighted his unwavering principle of not seeking financial help from his spiritual mentor, Bishop David Oyedepo, even in challenging times.
“I’ll be the last person to collect a dime from Oyedepo, not because challenges have not come. That’s not how it works,” he explained.
Ibiyeomie further encouraged sowing into the lives of senior pastors as a way to draw virtue and unlock greater prosperity:
“There are senior men to me today, and I can sow into their lives. But I will not go and say, ‘Pastor Femi, can you please help me?’ It’s not scriptural. Don’t collect money from a senior man; you are reducing your prosperity. Sow into the senior man to draw virtue for the next level.”
This advice has sparked discussions about the principles of giving and receiving within the church.
