Oladipo Olamide Emmanuel, professionally known as Chinko Ekun, is a Nigerian rapper and songwriter born on 13 September 1993 in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria, and originally from Ikare Akoko, Ondo State. He developed a love for music early and officially commenced his career in 2011 by sharing freestyle videos on Instagram. His debut single, “Ekun”, was released in 2013. In 2014, he gained traction by featuring on Olamide’s *Street OT* album and performing at Olamide Live In Concert (OLIC). He joined YBNL Nation in 2015 and released tracks like “Alejo Oran” and “Emi Na Re”, before leaving the label and later signing with Dek-Niyor Entertainment.
Chinko Ekun’s breakthrough came with the 2018 hit single “Able God” (featuring Zlatan Ibile and Lil Kesh), which became an anthem and solidified his presence in Nigerian street-hop music.
