Bahd man niko
Adam Ademola Olawepo, known professionally as Bahd Man Niko, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He was born on March 17, 1997, in Ajegunle, Lagos State, Nigeria.
Bahd Man Niko began his musical journey with influences from the Nigerian konto sound, drawing inspiration from the style associated with artists such as Daddy Showkey, Baba Fryo, and Marvelous Benjy. His early exposure to the genre helped shape his approach to songwriting and performance.
He later developed his musical identity through experiences shaped by his upbringing and education at Kwara State Polytechnic. His music reflects elements of the traditional street sound that influenced his early years while incorporating contemporary approaches to Nigerian popular music.
In his pursuit of a distinct sound, Bahd Man Niko has described his evolving style as “konto blues,” a direction that combines the influence of konto with his own contemporary interpretation.
