Sevilla Head Coach Discusses Future of Kelechi Iheanacho and Akor Adams’ Integration

Sevilla head coach, Garcia Pimienta, has provided updates on the futures of Nigerian strikers Kelechi Iheanacho and Akor Adams, with the latter’s integration into the squad being a key focus.
Iheanacho, who joined Sevilla from Leicester City on a free transfer last summer, has struggled to make an impact in Spain. The 28-year-old is yet to score in La Liga, and with the arrival of Akor Adams, his future at the club seems uncertain. Pimienta confirmed that Iheanacho has several offers on the table and has the freedom to decide where he wants to move, with the final decision dependent on the satisfaction of all parties involved.

As for Akor Adams, who made his Sevilla debut against Getafe, Pimienta highlighted the need for a gradual adaptation to the team’s playing style. The Nigerian forward, despite not scoring in his debut appearance, is eager to impress and is expected to be integrated slowly, with Pimienta optimistic about his potential.

The future of both Nigerian strikers remains up in the air, but Pimienta’s comments suggest that Sevilla is carefully considering how to move forward with both players.
